How to Overcome the Anxiety of Starting a New Project

Whether you're preparing a presentation, writing a review, or cleaning your desk, it can be tough to start a new project. Because starting on time is the largest factor in making a deadline, this "project block" can wreak havoc on productivity. The key to success is getting a jumpstart by making small preparations while you're doing other things. Jot down notes while you're going about your day. Move relevant files into a folder on your desktop with the project name as its title. When it's time to sit down and get the project done, you won't have to jump the mental hurdle of "starting" and your brain will ease into the project more easily.
