Consider More Than Your Own Sustainability

More and more companies are taking a serious look at decreasing their impact on the environment; some are doing it as part of philanthropic efforts, but the smart ones are integrating it into their core business models. When looking at your sustainability, don't just focus on your company's operations. Take a look at the bigger picture: understand your role in the full value chain. Your sustainable business model shouldn't just encompass what happens inside your doors, but should also take into account your suppliers, distribution partners, and customers. How your packaging, distribution, and pricing decisions affect them and their environmental behaviors should be a critical business issue, not just a moral concern.
