Sending employees home to work can help companies cut costs and improve employee satisfaction, productivity, and engagement. So pack up your laptop, skip the commute, and work at home. If your company doesn't have a work-at-home policy, encourage it to explore one. Leverage technology such as call forwarding and videoconferencing to make remote work feasible and effective. Working from home does present its own set of challenges, so pay close attention to building working relationships, establishing trust, and encouraging collaboration.
